Kamelda’s Designs LLC is Officially SWaM Certified in Virginia!
I’m excited to announce a major milestone for Kamelda’s Designs LLC — we are officially SWaM Certified by the Commonwealth of Virginia!
The Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity (SBSD) has certified Kamelda’s Designs LLC under four designations: Small, Micro, Women-Owned, and Minority-Owned.
Our SWaM Certification Number is 846107, and the certification is valid through September 15, 2031.
What Does SWaM Certified Mean?
SWaM stands for Small, Women-Owned, and Minority-Owned Business. Virginia’s SWaM certification program is designed to increase opportunities for qualifying businesses to participate in state procurement and contracting.
For Kamelda’s Designs, our certification officially recognizes the company as:
Small Business – Meeting Virginia’s requirements for certification as a small business.
Micro Business – Meeting the Commonwealth’s additional criteria for designation as a micro business.
Women-Owned Business – A business that is at least 51% owned and controlled by a woman.
Minority-Owned Business – A business that is at least 51% owned and controlled by a qualifying minority owner.
What This Means for Kamelda’s Designs
Becoming SWaM Certified creates another avenue for Kamelda’s Designs to grow while continuing to provide the affordable web and print design services that have been at the heart of the business.
Our certification gives us greater visibility as a certified Virginia vendor and provides opportunities to work with Virginia state agencies, local governments, public organizations, prime contractors, and other organizations seeking SWaM-certified businesses.
